Selection of Invitation cards from Edvard Thordén Gallery 1973-1978

Edvard Thordén Konsthandel was established in 1973 in Gothenburg, Sweden. During the initial five years, the gallery primarily showcased contemporary artists from England and America. In 1978, Björn Wetterling became part of the company, leading to its renaming as Thordén Wetterling Gallery. Our inaugural joint exhibition featured the recent works of Peter Blake. In 1984, we relocated to Stockholm, where our first exhibition featured Robert Rauschenberg’s collection titled “Japanese Ceramic Works.” However, we decided to part ways in 1988. Following the separation, Edvard Thordén continued to operate the business in Gothenburg until 1994. Today you can find Edvard Thordén Gallery on the net, and now and then helping my old partner Björn Wetterling with popup Gallerys.
